Strengthspan refers to the duration of an individual's life during which they maintain a high level of muscular strength. This concept emphasizes the importance of maintaining muscle strength throughout one’s life, not just for physical performance but also for overall health and longevity.

  1. Physical Health: Maintaining muscular strength helps reduce the risk of chronic diseases, including cardiovascular conditions and diabetes. Strength training is known to combat sarcopenia, the age-related loss of muscle mass, which is crucial for maintaining mobility and independence in older age.


  2. Mental Health: Regular strength training has been shown to improve cognitive function, boost self-esteem, and reduce symptoms of depression.
